Here's some interesting NBC Radio news from March 1st, 1969, including the verdict in the Clay Shaw trial in New Orleans and Joe Garagiola's interview with Mickey Mantle just one hour after the Yankee slugger announced his retirement from baseball:

Walk me through this, curtain rod fans....
The curtain rod issue, like every other JFKA issue, has been beaten to death and beyond. I simply want to approach it from the standpoint of epistemology, the plausibility of my analysis versus the plausibility of a CT-oriented analysis.
[...]
I don’t insist Frazier and Randle were lying. I recognize their testimony as problematical for the LN narrative; Randle in particular was impressive. If they had said Oswald was carrying nothing but a small sandwich bag, I would recognize this as a huge problem for the LN narrative.
As it is, they established a package of 24-28.5 inches that must have been quite stiff since Randle said Oswald held it in his right hand with the other end toward the ground and Frazier said he carried it toward the TSBD tight against his side with one end under his armpit.
All things considered, I see the most plausible explanation being that the package contained the disassembled Carcano and that Frazier and Randle were simply mistaken about the length by 7 to 10 inches.

The links below contain my $0.02 (or maybe a touch more than that 😁) regarding such things as Curtain Rods, Linnie Randle, Buell Frazier,
Carport Slats, and the Large-ish Paper Bag (which was photographed
on the sixth floor by the police, albeit by accident; see 3rd link):

Here's a candid interview from 1968 with the late President Kennedy's personal secretary, Evelyn Lincoln, concerning the rather controversial contents of her new book, "Kennedy & Johnson".
I was particularly intrigued by Mrs. Lincoln's comments regarding the often-rumored topic of JFK possibly dropping Vice President Lyndon Johnson from the ticket in the 1964 election:

Excerpts from the 2014 discussion linked above:
------------------------------
JEAN DAVISON SAID:
"I still don’t see any corroboration for Bolden’s account of a 4-man assassination team in Chicago. .... What evidence is there that a “tipoff guy to the FBI was code named Lee”? Isn’t it unusual for an informant to be referred to by his real name, instead of something anonymous like “informant T-2″? .... The arrest of Vallee is well-documented, but there’s evidently no record of a separate 4-man rifle team. Without some evidence, why believe it? No author’s assertion can establish any fact — it takes evidence to do that."
DVP SAID:
"And also don’t forget the utter brilliance being displayed by the bad guys when they also allegedly arranged for a “4-man hit team” in Chicago (in order to somehow pin the whole nine yards on just ONE lone patsy named Thomas Vallee), and then they orchestrated another MULTI-ASSASSIN murder plot within the framework of yet another “Frame The Lone Patsy” (Oswald) plan in Dallas, Texas, twenty days later.
Incredibly, [many] people have actually fallen for such tommyrot, despite the fact that every scrap of physical evidence in the whole JFK case is screaming “It was Oswald alone”.
So, either the plotters were incredibly lucky when all of the “non-Oswald” evidence just disappeared into a puff of smoke on 11/22/63,
or:
Various law enforcement agencies (DPD, FBI, Sheriff’s office, Secret Service, etc.) decided to immediately join ranks with the plotters who were supposedly setting up Oswald IN ADVANCE of the assassination, with those law agencies deep-sixing every last piece of evidence pointing to any shooters other than Lee Harvey Oswald.
In other words, in the strange universe of conspiracy theorists, it was
“The World vs. Patsy Oswald”."
LARRY HANCOCK SAID THIS.
DAVID VON PEIN SAID:
I found a Secret Service Survey Report for President Kennedy's trip to Dallas on the Mary Ferrell site. It's included in Commission Document No. 3, which is the full Secret Service report on JFK's assassination.
Linked below is the sub-section labeled "Preliminary Survey Report of November 19, 1963":

I also took note of the two places in the 11/19/63 Secret Service Survey Report where it confirms that Special Agent Donald Lawton's assignment in Dallas on November 22 was to "remain at the airport", instead of riding in the motorcade through Dallas. This fact was also confirmed by Lawton himself in his 11/30/63 written report which appears in CE2554.
Some conspiracy theorists, however, continue to believe that Lawton, the agent with his hands outstretched in this Love Field image (who for years was mistakenly thought to be Henry Rybka), was supposed to ride in the Secret Service follow-up car during the motorcade. But the two references to Lawton's duty assignment in the November 19, 1963, Secret Service report (pictured below) should put the matter to rest once and for all, especially since this SS Survey Report was written three days before the assassination:
